Privacy policy

Plain and without small print: what we collect, why, who sees it and how you stay in control.

1. Who handles your data

The controller is MB „Ekodarna“, company code 302869431, VAT LT100009307210, Europos pr. 37, LT-46329 Kaunas, Lithuania.

This policy covers ekodarna.lt (Lithuanian and English), its request forms, the LK-1 configurator, the assistant, the online shop and our related emails.

We do not ask for health data. If you mention the user’s mobility needs (e.g. “power wheelchair”), we use it only to choose the right solution and handle it with extra care. Please do not send medical documents.

3. Photos and drawings

  • Uploaded over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and kept in private storage that is not reachable from the internet – only logged-in Ekodarna staff can download them.
  • Files get random names and are checked for type and size; photos are reduced on your device before upload.
  • Never shared with analytics or advertising tools, never used to showcase projects without your permission.
  • Request files are deleted automatically after 24 months unless a contract or other lawful basis requires keeping them.

4. Who receives data

We never sell data. We share only what is needed with trusted processors who must keep it secure:

  • Website hosting provider – servers that run the site and store requests.
  • Email service provider – sends request notifications and automatic replies.
  • Payment providers and banks – when you pay; only they handle card or bank login details.
  • Couriers – delivery address, name and phone for deliveries.
  • Accounting service provider – invoices and order data.
  • Anthropic – only if the AI assistant is enabled: your question is sent to generate an answer. Do not enter ID numbers, health or other sensitive data. Without AI the assistant answers from our own knowledge base and nothing is shared.
  • Google (Tag Manager / Analytics) – only with your analytics consent.
  • Public authorities – only where the law requires.

Transfers outside the EEA (e.g. Anthropic or Google in the USA) rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

5. How long we keep data

6. Cookies

Essential cookies and browser storage keep the site working (cart, consent and accessibility settings). Analytics loads only with your consent. YouTube videos load only after you press “Play”, via youtube-nocookie.com. Change your choice any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer.

7. Security

  • All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS).
  • Requests and files are visible only to logged-in staff who need them.
  • Forms are protected against bots and abuse (rate limits, honeypot fields).
  • Email passwords in the site settings are stored encrypted.
  • Software is kept up to date and files no longer needed are removed automatically.

8. Your rights

You can access your data and get a copy, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interest, port it to another controller and withdraw consent at any time.

Write to ekodarna@gmail.com – we reply within one month (usually within a few working days), free of charge. We may ask you to confirm your identity.

You may also complain to the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate (L. Sapiegos g. 17, LT-10312 Vilnius, ada@ada.lt, vdai.lrv.lt) or the authority in your country. We would appreciate the chance to resolve it first.

9. Other

  • No automated decisions with legal effect. The solution finder, configurator and assistant only help you orient – an engineer prepares the final solution.
  • Children. Our services are for adults; we do not knowingly collect data of children under 14.
  • Submitting for someone else (a relative or colleague)? Please let them know.
  • Changes. We update this policy when our services or the law change and publish material changes on this page.
